The SME Assembly kicks off this week in Luxembourg.
This year’s edition of the SME Assembly kicks off this week in Luxembourg. The assembly brings together SME owners and stakeholders to a 3-day conference of talks, debates and masterclasses, focusing on how to boost SMEs as drivers of growth in Europe.
The flagship policy initiative from the EU is the Small Business Act (SBA). Since the adoption of the SBA in 2008, a lot of progress has been made, but there is still a long way to go before the European Single Market becomes a reality for many of Europe’s 22 million SMEs. The SME Assembly gathers those who are on the front line of making the EU the best place for entrepreneurs to start a company and make it grow.
The SME Assembly is held 18-20 November as part of the European SME Week. Activities include presentation of the annual report European SMEs, as well as announcement of the winners of this year’s European Enterprise Promotion Awards.
