(From ec.europa.eu )
Two key indicators of the Single Market Scoreboard have been updated. Information about the transposition of directives and infringements has been brought up to date.
The average transposition deficit (representing the percentage of total Single Market directives that have not been transposed into national law by Member States within the deadline indicated in each directive) has dropped to 0.5% in comparison with 0.6% six months ago. The number of pending infringements concerning incorrect transposition of directives, violation of Treaty articles and regulations, or bad application of Single Market rules has slightly increased to 826, which is 10 cases more than in May 2014.
Enforcement of Single Market law is a key priority for the Commission. It encourages Member States to continue their efforts in ensuring that our common rules work efficiently in practice and are meaningful to citizens and businesses.
