The 2016 Rolling Plan for ICT Standardisation is released

Today the European Commission released the 2016 Rolling Plan on ICT Standardisation.

This work programme is a unique, comprehensive and detailed view of standardisation activities performed worldwide in the field of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies).

It gives a detailed picture of the standardisation actions needed to support European policies, needs that were identified with all actors in ICT standardisation to coordinate their work programmes via the Multi-Stakeholder Platform on ICT Standardisation.

This open and inclusive drafting process promotes the convergence of standards between worldwide standardisation makers.

The Rolling Plan includes several sectors like healthcare, cloud computing, intelligent transport systems, security, accessibility, Internet of Things, eGovernment, smart grids and many others.

Every year, the Rolling Plan is extended and this year, we are happy to announce the addition of robotics.
