Access to Finance Day and COSME Workshop in Belgrade

The TAIEX Access to Finance Day and the COSME Workshop is taking place on 8 and 9 March 2016 in Belgrade. The event is organised by the European Commission and the Ministry of Economy of Serbia.

The Access to Finance Day provides the opportunity to discuss the design of the financial instruments for the programming period 2014-20 between the key SME finance stakeholders and financial intermediaries under the current EU programmes. These include the Western Balkans Enterprise Development & Innovation Facility (WB EDIF), Horizon 2020 and the COSME Programme.

The purpose of the COSME Workshop is to present this programme to prospective beneficiaries giving an overview of its objectives with a focus on the main actions implemented through open calls. 

Speakers include representatives from the European Commission, European Investment Fund, European Bank for Reconstruction & Development and South Central Ventures as well as Member State experts in the field. The welcome address is given byŽeljko Sertić, Minister of Economy, followed by Miroslav Miletic, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

More than 150 participants are attending the event, including business support organisations, associations of entrepreneurs, national, regional and local organisations/institutions, chambers of commerce, financial institutions/intermediaries and representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Trade and Ministry of Finance.
