Adapting company law and corporate governance to the digital world

Digitalisation is one of the top priorities of the Juncker Commission and a policy package on the Digital Single Market was presented by the Commission in May 2015. The Green Paper on Capital Markets Union (published in February 2015) also recognised digitalisation as one of the key drivers for integration of capital markets.

This conference, organised by DG Justice, aims to bring together relevant stakeholders to discuss recent developments, remaining problems and necessary changes as regards digitalisation of company law and corporate governance. The event will include presentations on existing practices and experiences, and will be an opportunity to exchange concrete ideas for future work at EU level in this area.

The event is open to:

  • Member States representatives;.
  • representatives of EU, international and national organisations of stakeholders who would be affected by digitalisation of company law and corporate governance (organisations representing businesses, employees, investors, chambers of commerce, etc.); and.
  • representatives of EU institutions.
