Digital Transformation Scoreboard released at the Digitising European Industry Stakeholder Forum
(From ec.europa.eu)
The Digital Transformation Scoreboard 2017 was presented today at the first European Stakeholder Forum for the Digitising European Industry initiative in Essen, Germany.
The Scoreboard shows that European companies are increasingly adopting digital technologies, but there are still big disparities between EU countries with regard to digital transformation performance.
The Scoreboard is part of the new Digital Transformation Monitor framework which will contribute to the knowledge base on the state of play and evolution of digital transformation in Europe.
The Stakeholder Forum will be held annually and is co-organised by the Commission and EU countries. This year, the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy is also co-organising this event that will address, interlink and consult with stakeholders from the entire digital value chain.
The Forum is an essential part of the coordination framework between the digitisation of industry actions at national, regional and EU level.
The Commission is showcasing the Digital Transformation Monitor, digital icons, cities and regions as powerful innovation ecosystems, successful KETs stories and the WATIFY awareness-raising campaign launched by the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs to support European businesses in their digital transformation and their adoption of advanced technologies.
