European cooperation on market surveillance happens through informal groups of market surveillance authorities. They are known as Administrative Cooperation Groups (ADCOs). The European Commission is looking for a technical secretariat for one these ADCO groups.
This cooperation is predominant within the ADCO–CPR group.
EU country market surveillance authorities already established the group under the preceding Directive (89/106/EEC: the CPD)
The contractor will assist the chair of this group in the preparation of the group's meetings. The contractor acts as its technical secretariat. The tasks of the administrative secretariat (logistical support) are part of another contract.
The contractor will also give technical
to the working groups created under ADCO and organise other cooperative actions between the EU country authorities
. The joint market surveillance programme is one of these.
