4 SMEs received this year's European Small and Mid-Caps Awards at a ceremony in Brussels on 17 November.
The awards were hosted by FESE and EuropeanIssuers in cooperation with the European Commission to promote success stories of the most dynamic companies financed by European public capital markets.
Their aim is to highlight the best European SMEs that have gained access to capital markets via an Initial Public Offering and to encourage more companies to access public capital markets.
Irmfried Schwimann, Deputy Director-General of DG GROWTH, said in her keynote speech:
"At a time when the European Commission is stepping up its policies to enhance access to capital markets for SMEs in the context of the Capital Markets Union and the upcoming Start-up and Scale-up Initiative, the winners of this year’s awards show the quality, ingenuity and societal relevance of dynamic SMEs in Europe. They are role models that inspire other companies and lead the way towards creating growth and jobs."
