The third European Social Innovation Competition, asking for ideas for ‘New Ways to Grow’ in Europe, broke a new record, receiving 1 408 entries.
Europeans were asked to provide ideas for growth which generates economic value and is a source of inclusion and sustainability.
The response was overwhelming - a great show of social innovation across Europe!
The successful 'semi-finalists' of the competition will be announced the week of 20 July 2015, and all those short-listed will be invited to take part in a mentoring workshop in Vienna on 7-9 September.
This year’s social innovation academy will be held in the Magdas Hotel, a finalist of the first competition in 2013.
The second phase of the competition will then start straight away, leading up to the awards ceremony in Brussels in late November where the three winners will each be awarded a EUR 50,000 prize.
