A new structure for Growth

The Commission has decided on a major restructuring of the new DG dealing with Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs which was created at the beginning of 2015. The new DG was created to make sure that the internal market operates at maximum efficiency and to give a boost to manufacturing and service industries in the push for growth and jobs. The opening months of the year provided an opportunity to look in detail at the workings of this new DG and design a new structure which makes the best uses of all its talents and resources, resulting in the new organisation chart which takes effect on 1 June 2015.
