FEAD Network's first Thematic Dossier has just been published. It presents the key learning outcomes from the various Network discussions on sustainable social inclusion.
The FEAD Network discussions, which took place over the course of 2016, were held across Europe and online.
They facilitated the sharing of knowledge between relevant actors and stakeholders, including representatives from:
- the Managing Authorities,.
- partner organisations such as the Red Cross, Caritas and Food Banks,.
- the European Commission.
The Network explored the manner in which the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) funding could be used support the social inclusion of Europe’s most deprived.
Discussions centred around the manner in which these initiatives complement the provision of food and material assistance, as well as the ways in which FEAD funding can be directly used to support the social inclusion of Europe’s most deprived.
Furthermore, they underlined the importance of synergies between FEAD and the European Social Fund (ESF) to ensure that individuals’ transitions out of poverty are sustainable.
