Call summary and aims

The European Capital of Innovation Award recognises cities that have built up inclusive and dynamic innovation ecosystems for the benefits of citizens and business.

In particular, the award recognises cities that have introduced experimentation in their administration and streets; that actively engage citizens at all levels of innovation, from first steps in policy-development to its implementation; that attract new talents, resources, funding, investments; and that position themselves as role models for other cities.
