Euro-Mediterranean days at Expo Milano 2015

Expo Milano 2015 is taking place from 1 May to 31 October with the central theme of 'Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life'. The Euro-Mediterranean days will take place during the Expo on 6 and 7 May.

These days will have the same format as the Missions for Growth conducted by DG GROW over the past years. They will include:

• A first session on the morning of 6May where high-level policymakers will underline the benefits of Euro-Mediterranean economic cooperation;.

• A second session where the European Commission and other international organisations (EIB, UNIDO) will present  business opportunities in the EU and in Mediterranean neighbour countries (MED countries);.

• Business-to-business meetings between entrepreneurs from the EU and MED countries which will take place in the afternoon on 6 and 7May. The industrial sectors targeted for these meetings include food and drink manufacturing, innovative and high quality food products, safety and quality control, food chain management, Protected Denomination of Origin (PDO), and Protected Geographic Indication (PGI) food. All these sectors relate to the themes of Expo Milano 2015.

Finally, a visit to the exhibition is foreseen for participants.
