(From ec.europa.eu)

On 16 November 2016, the European Commission will organise a workshop in Brussels on the transition from the current Directive to the new Regulation on personal protective equipment.

As of 21 April 2018, Directive 89/686/EEC on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be repealed by the new Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2016 on personal protective equipment.

The new PPE Regulation is aligned to the New Legislative Framework policy. In addition, it slightly modifies the scope and the risk categorisation of products. It also clarifies the documentary obligations of economic operators.

The workshop is open to public authorities representatives, economic operators, experts and other interested parties. Places are limited and will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. For further information, please contact the PPE functional e-mail box GROW-PPE@ec.europa.eu before 21 October 2016. For registration click the link below.
