the tourism industry, a key driver for job creation
The President of the European Parliament announced a high-level conference to discuss 'A European strategy to enhance the competitiveness of the tourism industry, a key driver for job creation'. This big event will be held in Brussels on 27 September, 'International Day of Tourism'.
The conference is aimed at citizens, policy makers, the investor community, market participants of the tourist sector and stakeholders’ representatives. At the event, we will have a look at the tourist sector, focusing the discussion on 3 areas:
- Supporting investments, improving the business environment and upgrading skills
- Tourism innovation and digital economy
- Promoting Europe as the number one tourist destination
