This meeting supports the EU-wide eSkills for Jobs campaign, launched by the European Commission to raise awareness of the need for European citizens to improve their digital skills (e-skills) for work. The campaign falls under the Commission Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs to tackle the lack of e-skills in Europe and the vast number of unfilled vacancies in information and communication technologies (ICT) across all industry sectors.

The campaign is targeted at young people (students in secondary and higher education), unemployed people seeking digital education, training and jobs in all sectors, professionals, business leaders (especially small and medium-sized enterprises, and industries that use ICT services) and policymakers.
