The Single Market Strategy: Chances for Enterpreneurs - Warsaw, Poland

14 April 2016

(From ec.europa.eu)

This year's edition of the Polish Single Market Forum (SIMFO) will consist of two discussion panels focusing on support for start-ups and on making an Internal Market for services without borders a practical reality.

The two topics relate to the European Commission's Single Market Strategy published in October 2015. As in previous editions, SIMFO will be an opportunity to discuss the challenges facing the Single Market with various actors - public administration, businesses, academics, employers' organisations, trade unions and local government.

It will also be an opportunity to promote Single Market instruments, as well as enterprises conducting cross-border activities in the EU.

One of the key speakers will be the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development, Mateusz Morawiecki.

Since 2011, the Polish Ministry of Economic Development (formerly the Ministry of Economy), in collaboration with the European Commission and the European Parliament, has organised the annual Single Market Forum.

The first edition was held as an initiative of the Polish Presidency of the EU. It was the biggest event devoted to the Internal Market in 2011 and one of the biggest events of the Polish Presidency. Each subsequent edition was attended by around 200 to 400 participants.

This event will be organised in the framework of the Commission's Single Market Forum (a cycle of around 20 workshops organised from November 2015 to June 2016 in different EU countries).

A more detailed agenda of the event will follow soon.
