Peer Review on the 'French Youth Guarantee measure' (‘Garantie Jeunes’, an experimental scheme), Paris, France, 7-8 April 2016
(From ec.europa.eu)
This Peer Review will present the specific experimental measure “Garantie Jeunes” in their youth guarantee (“Garantie Jeunesse”) context. This experimental measure targets the most vulnerable NEETS (young people not in employment, education or training) and supports them by providing a first professional experience, including both work experience and training opportunities; as well as financial support.
The event will provide opportunities for exchange with other European countries to discuss different aspects related to the reintegration processes of NEETs including: the role of local partners in increasing NEETs’ chances for integration; the best methods to involve local employers to recruit NEETs and the advantages and drawbacks of having a monetary allowance included in the design of the Youth Guarantee measure.
The Peer Review will be hosted by the French Ministry of Labour, Employment, Vocational Training and Social Dialogue, as part of the Mutual Learning Programme.
